Dr Peter Lee

Dr. Peter Lee qualified from UCC in 2001 and undertook postgraduate training in anaesthesiology in Ireland. He was awarded a MD from UCC in 2010 for his work in the area of persistent post-surgical pain. He completed a fellowship year in regional and ambulatory anaesthesia at Vancouver General Hospital in 2010. He worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Cork University Hospital from 2011 until 2019. He is currently a Consultant Anaesthetist at Bon Secours Hospital Cork.

Peter is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at University College Cork and Principal Investigator at the ASSERT for Health Centre there. His research interests include regional anesthesia, medical device development and anaesthesia for the older patient. He is a member of the Scientific Subcommittee in Geriatric Anaesthesiology at the European Society of Anaesthesiology.
