Biography
I currently work as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Galway University Hospitals. My anaesthetic training included periods in both the UK and Ireland. In addition, I spent two years in Paris as a paediatric anaesthesia fellow. As former President of the Irish Society of Regional Anaesthesia, I sat on the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia Council as the Irish representative. I currently serve as the Vice President of the Irish Society of Regional Anaesthesia.

I have lectured both nationally and internationally in the area of regional anaesthesia and acute pain. I am an examiner for the College of Anaesthetists. I am currently the Honorary Secretary of the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland. In addition, I serve as the Secretary of the European Board of Anaesthesiology. My primary interests include regional anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine and education.
