Biography
Dr Jappie graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2007 and started working as a consultant anaesthetist at University College Hospital in 2017. She has undertaken fellowships in advanced obstetrics and head & neck anaesthesia, as well as developing a successful social media-driven teaching platform know as “@Airwayhub”. From June 2018 she will be relocating to Belgium to work as an anaesthetist in the Hospital of East Limburg.
Abstract
The Perioperatve Quality Improvement Programme (PQIP) is a UK-based innovative research study being led by the NIAA Health Services Research Centre, aimed at reducing post-operative complications and improving patient outcomes. This presentation looks specifically at the post-operative aspects of the programme and how we can utilise the results to influence our patients’ recovery in the post-operative period.
